Ms. Ayers

Hello Two Dimensions Parents!

I am delighted to say that I am the English Language Arts and Reading teacher for the 2018-2019 school year! I am excited to explore the world of English Language Arts and Reading with the wonderful students this year.
Book Report!!!

Requirements for Book Report

By now, you all have chosen which book you are reading for your book report. I hope that you all have begun reading and almost finished! Below, I will list all the requirements for the book report. I have changed the due date for the report to FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2018.

The first part of the project includes:

  1. A typed summary of each chapter of the book. Each summary should be at least 3 to 5 sentences in length. Each chapter summary should have a heading telling the chapter number (including chapter name if the chapter has one). You can put multiple chapter summaries on one page.
  2. A typed summary of the entire book. This summary should be at least 5 to 10 sentences in length. This summary should be on a separate sheet than the chapter summaries.
  3. The chapter summary should be in a folder or binder. You are more than welcomed to decorate the folder or binder. Whether the summaries or in a folder or binder, they should be hole punched into the folder or binder.

The second part of the project includes:

  1. Students should get a tri-fold board to create a story map
  2. The items that should be displayed on the tri-fold board are the title of the book and author, main characters, setting(s), conflict, resolution and theme.

You are more than welcomed to get creative on how you want to display the information on the board. All I request is that the information on the board is legible and presentable.

THE NEW DUE DATE FOR THE PROJECT IS DECEMBER 14, 2018
