Mrs. Daisy Simpson was born and reared in Port Arthur, Texas under the strong leadership of her parents, Ellis and Lois Levine.

She graduated from Lincoln High School and entered into her college career at Texas Southern University. She pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Then she attended Lamar University of Beaumont, Texas and graduated with her Elementary Education certification. Then she received her certification in Special Education.  Mrs. Simpson then attended Prairie View A&M University and earned her Master’s. She takes great pride in “education” and is always seeking additional courses to improve herself academically.

In 1989, Mrs. Simpson’s husband, the great late Pastor Charles Simpson, began explaining the value of her gift to love and teach children. They started a private school in 1990 with only eight Kindergarteners and fifteen Pre-Kindergarteners.  By 1995, they were educating over 400 students in the Houston area.  In 1998, while creating a new board for the school, they pursued a charter with the State of Texas and was granted a charter that September.  This opened up a new era with a new name, Two Dimensions Preparatory Academy Charter School had emerged.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Daisy Simpson, Two Dimensions has become a beacon in the community.  Thousands of students were touched by the life of Mrs. Simpson and she vowed that thousands more would be touched before she retired, although she knew education was her life, so she would never really retire from doing what she was placed here to do.

Mrs. Daisy Simpson retired from Two Dimensions Preparatory Academy in 2021 and now sits on their Board of Education.  She is still paving the way for education as she continues the vision she and the late Sar Malahk (Charles Simpson) started, the vision of building a school in Ghana, a country in West Africa. Yes, it is being built.
