Welcome to Two dimensions Physical Education Program

Hello parents,

As many of you know I am Coach Jones the  Two Dimensions PE & Health Instructor. I have been a  Physical education and Health educator for 15 years.

Favorite sports – basketball, football, soccer, and baseball

Favorite book– “Salt in His Shoes: Michael Jordan in Pursuit of a Dream” by Deloris Jordan Favorite hobby – reading, and spending time with my family

Professional goal – inspire students’ love for physical movement and wellness

Personal goal – never stop learning and affecting positive changes in others

Our goal in physical education is for everyone to learn to make healthy choices and feel successful when participating in a variety of activities. This enables students to develop a positive attitude toward physical activity and to develop healthy habits, which will enhance their lives.
Students will be encouraged to have fun and enjoy PE. They will also be encouraged to participate to the best of their ability in all activities. At the elementary level, certain skills are taught so that students will be able to pursue competitive sports as well as lifetime sports.

Basic introductory skills for the following activities will be taught: 1)circle, line, and relay games; 2) fitness activities including the state mandated FITNESSGRAM fitness test in third, fourth and fifth graders; 3) jump rope; 4) organized games and activities

About Jump Rope for Heart

Jump Rope For Heart are national education and fundraising events sponsored by the American Heart Association and the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE).

Jump Rope For Heart HELPS Students Grow!

  • Kids learn the value of community service and become empowered to contribute to their community's welfare.
  • Children join together in helping other kids with special hearts.
  • Students learn how to develop heart-healthy habits while being physically active
  • Participants learn jump rope and basketball skills they can use for the rest of their lives.
  • Students help your school earn gift certificates for free P.E. equipment!

How It Works....

Jump Rope For Heart events are conducted in school by physical education instructors, coaches or teachers.  They can be scheduled whenever it's most convenient-during physical education class, lunch or before or after school.  Once you register, you'll receive an event kit with everything you need to conduct a successful Jump Rope For Heart or Hoops For Heart event:

  1. Step-by-step instructions on scheduling, promoting and conducting the event.
  2. Heart-healthy curriculum to support heart awareness with the event.
  3. Tips for fund raising.  Participants ask friends and family for donations.  Our online tool makes raising money even easier!
  4. Training and support from an experienced American Heart Association staff person or volunteer.
With your support, we can help protect and improve children's health!
